A lot of American Formula 1 fans can tell you exactly when they got hooked, and many of them have since made the trip to a race in person: a long weekend in Austin, a spring trip to Miami, a night race on the Las Vegas Strip. Those trips are expensive and memorable, which makes them the best place to start when you are looking for a gift. A print of the race they actually saw beats another team cap.
United States Grand Prix finish prints
Our race finish prints show one race at the instant the winner took the checkered flag: the real circuit, the winner at the line, every car on the lead lap placed where it was when the flag fell, and the rest of the field underneath. The details come from the published race records. You add a message and, if they were there, where they watched from, and we mark it on the circuit. Each is from $45.
- 2005 United States Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher: the race at Indianapolis where only six cars started after the fourteen cars on the other tire supplier withdrew at the end of the formation lap over tire safety. Schumacher won by 1.522 seconds.
- 2012 United States Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton: the first Formula 1 race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, won by Hamilton over Sebastian Vettel by 0.675 seconds.
- 2021 United States Grand Prix, Max Verstappen: Verstappen held off Hamilton by 1.333 seconds in Austin.
- 2025 United States Grand Prix, Max Verstappen: Verstappen won from pole by 7.959 seconds over Lando Norris.
- 2026 United States Grand Prix, Kimi Antonelli: Antonelli won from pole by 13.078 seconds over Charles Leclerc.
Miami and Las Vegas finish prints
- 2026 Miami Grand Prix, Kimi Antonelli: Antonelli won from pole by 3.264 seconds over Norris.
- 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix, Max Verstappen: Verstappen won by 23.546 seconds on the Strip, and two cars that finished behind him were disqualified after the race.
How to choose: if they went, pick the year they went, and add the grandstand or turn they sat at so the print shows exactly where they were. If they watched from home, pick the race they still talk about, or the one won by their driver. The 2012 race in Austin is a natural choice for a longtime fan who remembers the United States Grand Prix returning that year, and the 2026 races suit the newer fan who has followed every lap of the last few seasons.
One thing that helps: find their ticket or the confirmation email before you order. It will have the grandstand name or section on it, and that small detail is what makes the print theirs.
Circuit Bucket List, for the fan with a travel list
Once someone has been to one race, they usually start planning the next. The Circuit Bucket List shows forty of the great road-racing circuits of the world, current and classic, each outline drawn to one common scale with its city, country, lap length and the year it opened. The list runs from Monaco, Spa, Silverstone, Monza and Suzuka to the American venues in Austin, Miami, Las Vegas and Indianapolis. The circuits they have been to turn green with the year in a brass stamp, and the count sits up top. Because every circuit is drawn to the same scale, you can see at a glance how a street circuit compares to a long, fast classic. From $45.
For this one, you'll need the circuits they have visited and the year of each visit. It works for fans who go to sports car and IndyCar races too, since the list is about the circuits rather than one series.
Race Cars Through the Years, for the engineering fan
Formula 1 fans tend to love the technical side: aero, floors, safety. Race Cars Through the Years tells the story of the race car in sixteen real U.S. patent drawings from 1952 to today, including the rear-engine open-wheelers, the first wings, ground effects, the full-face helmet and the head-and-neck restraint. Each drawing is the original patent illustration. From $45.
For the fan who races karts
Many F1 fans got their start in a kart, and some still race. The Checkered Flag draws their own race the same way as the famous finishes: the track, the winner at the line and every car on the lead lap placed by its gap. It works for a kart final or a club race. You type the results; we draw it and check it by hand. From $45.
Budget and pairing
A single race print, from $45, is a full gift. If you want to give more, pair the race they attended with the Circuit Bucket List so the trip they took starts a bigger list, or give two race prints to a couple who traveled together. Our prints are independent keepsakes made from published race records, with no series, team, circuit or driver logos, and they are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
